You don't need a talent for languages.

Do you have a talent for your native language?

So how come you speak your native language so fluently?

I guess you are surrounded with your native language.

Why don't you surround yourself with English?

You need 3 things:

1. 90% it's consuming content in English e.g. podcasts, TED talks, quality articles.

2. 10% it's speaking to someone about what you have consumed in point no 1.

3. Come back to point no. 1 :-)

Many people associate language fluency with speed.

The faster you speak the better it is. Or is it?

When you speak in a foreign language you need a bit more time than in your first language to control your correctness.

Slow down 10% and give yourself more time to think about what you want to say and how you want to say it.

Speed doesn't go with quality.

So it's more our language than theirs. Isn't it?

Surround yourself with English

50% to 70% of the content available on the Internet is in English.

30% of books published globally every year are in English. 

In Polish 1,36%, in Spanish 3,9%, in French 2,9%

Surround yourself with the content in English.

• check podcasts (Lewis Howes, Joe Rogan, to name a few)
• check magazines (Harvard Business Review, The Guardian, BBC etc.)
• subscribe to websites with the content of your interest i.e. hobbies, sports, politics
• what's your idea? - comment me with your ideas on where you find quality content in English

Switch to English, you'll get more choice, and you'll master your English.

English is a very polluted language - don't be afraid to make mistakes

English is a very polluted language. 

More than 2 000 000 000 people speak English globally.

On all the continents, on different levels, with different accents.

They all make language mistakes. Including the British :-) (not to mention the Americans)

Then why making a language mistake should stop you from speaking it?

Remember! Communication is primary. Language is secondary. 

Don't be afraid to speak English.

Business English On The Rise!

About 20 years ago, when I was at the beginning of my career as a business English teacher, not many people were interested in business English per se. They were interested in developing general English skills and maybe one day they would try to improve their business English skills.

Not many clients of mine were involved in international business, and very few worked internationally. As I remember I had one client working in such an environment.

Today it's reality. More than 80% of my clients work internationally, international teams become much more common and business English is my core business.
